QYPE, Find It, Share It!

When it is time to travel it is sometimes hard to find a perfect site to learn all about your destination.  Sure there are millions of sites out there, but they also address a million different locations.  So you really only get a little bit of each location.

Millions of people visit London each and every year, there is no wonder that you can find sites all over the internet that tell you a little bit about what to do and see while you are there.  I came across one that tells a little more than a little bit.  Qype is a site letting you know where to eat and drink, sleep, shop, visit, where to go to see some entertainment and so much more.

One of the main features that I like is that when the search results or each page comes up you not only get the information that you seek about the location or event, but you also get a picture of it so that as you are out and about you will know exactly what the location you are looking for looks like, thus making it easier to find when you are out wandering around.

One of the first searches I did was for restaurants london.  I like that at the top of the page a category area comes up and lets you pick the specific type of restaurants that you want to visit.  This allows you to narrow down and choose the best restaurant for the mood that you are in.  After you find a great place to eat then you need to find a place where you can go and relax, perhaps get a drink after dinner.  Try one or another of pubs london.

Shopping is another one of my all time favorite things to do.  I have always dreamed of visiting Top Shop in london.  So I typed it into the Qype search box and whala, they provided me the address and some reviews of what people had to say about the shop.  All that did was heighten my anticipation of ever getting to go shopping there.

In addition to shopping, I really enjoy museums, plays, art exhibits and everything of the sort.  I clicked on Arts and Entertainment and found loads of things to do and places to go and see.

One thing I want to point out is that on the right hand side of the screen there is a square with what appears to be a map.  That is exactly what it is, a map.  I was a first a little hesitant about clicking on it because I did not know what it was or where it would take me.  But I bucked up and made the click happen.  You will see that as you highlight over an area of London the name of the area pops up on the screen.  If you gain the courage to click you will not be disappointed because the food, shopping, entertainment and everything else will be narrowed down to the area that you click.  I determined this was the best way to use the site.

So now all I need is a ticket from the USA to England and my iPhone pulling up this great site.  I will be set to eat, sleep, shop and visit in london.
