A list of Campgrounds in Cornwall, UK

Some people like the luxury of a hotel, with fresh food cooked for them, utilities on hand, and the warmth and comfort you get.  Others like to join nature by pitching up a tent and living the wildlife. If you are a ‘posh’ camper you stay on a camp ground with a toilet, otherwise pack the spade and toilet paper!

Taking a holiday in a tent makes you one with the wildlife, and gives you a sense of freedom away from the fast moving ways of modern life. Not only do you get the fresh air, you also feel at peace with yourself.

For first time campers it can be a bit stressful, as you always forget to pack something that you need, but if you are on a campground just ask others on the site, and they will always want to be helpful.

Here is a list of the 15 essentials you should need:

  • Towels
  • Pillows
  • Sleeping bags
  • Matches/ lighter
  • Chopping board
  • Tea towels
  • Tent, poles, pegs, groundsheet
  • Stove
  • First aid kit
  • Coolbox
  • Airbeds and pump
  • Water & food
  • Mallet
  • Washing up liquid
  • Plastic bags

One of the nicest places in I have ever been camping is in Cornwall, which is in the United Kingdom for those who do not know.

One of the plus points in this area is that the temperatures are usually 4C degrees above the UK average, and so summers can be a beautiful time to go camping in the area.

Cornwall is well known for its amazing scenery, and beautiful rugged coastline, and it is a haven not only for camping, but also for those of us who enjoy a nice long walk through the wilderness.

Most campgrounds these days have the basic amenities, so you do not really need worry about digging a toilet, a number of them also have showers and baths! Sometimes campgrounds are shared with caravans, which has never been a problem for me.
